Escape Rooms… I’m sure you’ve heard everyone’s doing them, but you’re not quite sure what they are? Well stay here, because you’re about to find out.
Escape Rooms consist of Excitement, Stimulation, Cooperation, Adrenaline, Puzzles, and… Escaping! We like to think of it as Cluedo meets Crystal Maze.
They’re ideal for a family experience you’ll never forget or a team building exercise everyone will enjoy.
What is an Escape Room?
In simple terms, an escape room is a place where your party is locked in with no obvious means of escape. You, your team, your friends, your family, even your dog (just kidding no pets!) must work together to find clues, solve puzzles and crack codes. Complete all of the above in under 60 minutes and you’ll escape. Simple, right?
No two escape rooms are the same. They can vary in size, theme, difficulty, production quality and play time. Themes can range from an abandoned Area 51 site to a medieval castle, to a spooky horror set. Something they all have in common is they are great fun!
What happens inside an escape room?
After a friendly briefing from your host you will be shown to the escape room where your challenge begins. Upon entering you’ll become immersed in the world of the room. Make sure to stay focused, there is a lot to explore. Investigate the room thoroughly, discover all the clues and let your brain unpick the puzzles. Every point you solve takes you one step closer towards your objective. You can do this!
What kind of age range will enjoy escape rooms?
Escape rooms are designed to be enjoyed by people that can complete the puzzles, even if some pointers in the right direction. We recommend children no younger than 12 tackle our rooms and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. However, if you feel a younger child in questions is a particularly good a puzzle-solving please do bring them along.
Currently, we do not have any scary escape rooms but do plan to open one mid-2019! These rooms will be age restricted.
What makes Escape Rooms so much fun?
Room escapes aren’t like video games. They’re better! Imagine being in a live video game with your friends or co-workers. Immersive, interactive and exciting you can sweat for what feels like hours on a puzzling clue. Success, you’ve cracked it! You look up at the clock… phew, only minutes have passed.
Time continues to vanish, every goal you complete prompts a swift team celebration, followed by immediate focus back to the task at hand. The final lock clicks, and you’ve made it out, as a unit, you’ve conquered the room. What a feeling!
